Arisaema triphyllum (Jack-in-the-pulpit)

Woodland perennial with an unusual bloom made up of a spadix and a striped sheath that folds over to create a "hood."  Prefers constantly moist, rich soil and part to full shade.  Plant can reach 1 to 2 feet tall with a spread of 12 to 18 inches.
