Aquilegia vulgaris, known as Common Columbine, is a versatile perennial with bell-shaped blooms that come in a variety of colors, including purple, pink, white, and blue. This shade-loving plant blooms in late spring to early summer and reaches a mature height of 18-24 inches and spread of 12-18 inches. It thrives in partial sun to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil.
