Monarda 'Grape Gumball' (Bee Balm)

A mildew-resistant cultivar of the pollinator-friendly monarda.  Forms clumps 1.5'-2' tall with a spread of 1.5'-2' and will spread through rhizomes over time.  Produces purple blooms from mid- to late summer.  Leaves are lightly fragrant.  Tolerates full sun to part shade in a variety of soil types.
