Rudbeckia hirta (Black-eyed Susan)

Short-lived perennial that readily self-seeds.  Bright yellow flowers with dark centers appear from mid summer to early fall and are an excellent variety to cut for arrangements.  Plants grow in clumps that reach 2'-3' tall with a spread of 1'-2'.  Prefers full sun exposure in moist, rich soil but will tolerate a variety of soils including clay.  Pollinator friendly.
